Runway 28; Gilze-Rijen, 2001

The year at Gilze-Rijen started capturing a number of helicopter movements of the THG-KLu. The gray Bo-105 Bölkow of the no 299 Squadron landed during Carnival at the town hall square at the Raadhuisplein. A P-3C Orion of the Dutch Navy made several approaches at the runway on March 24, 2001. There were also a Lynx and a Fokker 50 on the platform of the airbase. After the well-known PC-7s also the first operational AH-64D helicopter was captured at Gilze-Rijen. A Chinook of the no 298 Squadron from Soesterberg Air Base came along at Gilze-Rijen. The local Bölkow helicopters were photographed as well. The year at Gilze-Rijen ended with the departure of Dutch Fokker 60.
