Gilze-Rijen Runway 28, 2010

In the early part of 2010 I had the opportunity to catch the Apache's of no 301 Squadron from a very close range. A new taxi track was constructed parallel to the runway on the north side of the base. The Redskins used the taxi track next to the fence because of the construction works; the rest of their platform was cut of in this situation. The helicopters will taxi very close to the fence to the main runway. Furthermore it is possible to take some beautiful shots in the morning hours at Gilze-Rijen in the Sling area which is located south of the runway. And off course it is possible to make outstanding pictures of the normal landing traffic at the runway 28.
