The Slopes; Gilze-Rijen, 2010

The slopes at Gilze-Rijen are also in 2010 again the place to be at this airbase. In January I finally managed to take some decent photographs of a helicopter in a white snowy environment on these hills. This helicopter was a Chinook of no 298 Squadron which was practicing some white-out landing in the snow on the right hill. The circumstances at this location were really fantastic; I had a beautiful blue sky with a white background and the sunlight in my back. It really was a dream scenario for taking this kind of pictures at Gilze-Rijen. Off course I visited the slopes also in the following months for the regular traffic at this great location.
