On May 10, the Belgian 1 Wing at Beauvechain Air Base was visited. This major Belgian airbase is located near the city of Leuven. The Belgian pilot training wing is stationed at this airbase. The unit flies from Beauvechain with the SF260 Marchetti. These small training planes are parked at a large platform on the southern part of the airbase. Throughout the day these little yellow training planes will fly from and to Beauvechain. In addition to the training unit are also the majority of the helicopters of the Belgian Air Force stationed at Beauvechain. These helicopters are stationed on the northern side of the airbase. The maintenance workshop for the Alpha-Jet is also located on this side of the airfield.
