The German Celle Air Base contains currently the only in Germany unit which is still flying the Bo-105 Bölkow. The helicopters are on the airbase of the German Army assigned to the Heeresflieger- waffenschule (Army Pilot School). This unit is a training unit which is responsible for the advanced training of the German helicopter pilots. In addition to the operational part there is also a large storage of over 50 helicopters on this basis. These phased-out helicopters are in Celle prepared for sale to other parties. Eventually the Bölkow will be completely retired from service by the German Army in August 2016. Celle will be closed after this retirement and the training is moved to Bückeburg.
