In the city of Montelimar in eastern France is the Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse or the European Fighter Aircraft Museum located. The museum is located at a small airport just outside the city of Montelimar. The museum was first opened in 1987 by a group who wanted to preserve the heritage of French Aviation and has since then built up a beautiful collection of mainly French fighters. As the name suggests, there are mainly combat aircraft in this museum. The aircraft are mainly French, Belgian and Swiss, but there are also some aircraft from Swedish and American air forces present. The planes in this museum are very well maintained and are displayed very well on the site.
